Talk to you soon

As the school year comes to an end, the Riverdale High School interns reflect on what they have accomplished in the past three months. The internship class started in March with one goal, to help and change the nonprofit organization DonorsResource.org, as well as promote leadership and work in our community. The nine Riverdale High School students each took on a different intern jobs in the organization. From graphic artist to social media, they took over these jobs as their own responsibility and made a difference. These interns have made many accomplishments in the past months. So far, they have utilized the social media, facebook, twitter, and a blog, to get out the word about DonorsResource.org, designed and launched whole new website which is simpler and easier to use, and made their own video about what they’re doing for the organization. With these accomplishments, they have made so much progress for this organization, but they’re not stopping here. They’re project will keep running as DonorsResource.org gets more and more popular.

Field trip to Albertina Kerr and Community WareHouse

Last week we got to tour the nonprofit Community WareHouse with Roz Babner. It was interesting to see how the organization runs and to see the different roles needed to meet our communities needs. It was also great to hear that Community WareHouse is a strong supporter of DonorResource.org and has sent a lot of traffic our way.

We also had the opportunity to visit Albertina Kerr and meet with Stephanie Bolson who shared with us their mission and how they achieve it. We learned about all their different programs and how much "stuff" they need to make the programs successful. She expressed how much DonorsResource.org has helped them and gave us some great constructive criticism that we will work on in the future.
